Bats of BC: An Introduction

June 5, 2024 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm PDT

BC Bats Workshop

Come learn about the Bats of BC!
Bats are interesting creatures with unique characteristics and are very important to our ecosystems here in BC and around the world. Many of our BC bat species are unfortunately at risk due to white-nose syndrome, habitat loss, and other threats. There are ways that you can help bats and ways to get involved with bat conservation through the BC Community Bat Program. Join us afterwards for counting bats at a maternity colony on Okanagan Lake.

Date: June 5, 2024
Time: 7:30pm

Tickets: $15.00 for ABNC members and $20 for non-members.

Please note that participants interested in the bat count afterwards must be willing to carpool to the bat count location. The bat count portion of the workshop may go as late as 10:00 PM.
