Description
On April 29th the Allan Brooks Nature Centre will host Sigrie Kendrick, Executive Director of the Okanagan Xeriscape Association for a Xeriscape workshop from 10 am to 12 pm.
Xeriscaping is gardening with the natural conditions of your environment, rather than fighting against them. This class teaches the principles of design and planning, soil improvement, efficient irrigation, appropriate plant selection, practical turf areas, and much more!
By adopting xeriscape techniques you can create beautiful, sustainable landscapes, eliminate chemical use, conserve water and create habitats for birds and butterflies.
The class is 1.5 hours long with 30 minutes at the end for Q&A. BYOQ- bring your own questions! The more specific, the better. Take this opportunity to gain insight into your own gardening plans.
Tickets are 30.00. Pre-registration required.
