Community Group Programs

The Allan Brooks Nature Centre offers engaging, customized nature-based educational experiences for adult groups, seniors organizations, community associations, clubs, tourism groups, and lifelong learners throughout the Okanagan.

Programs can be delivered onsite at the Nature Centre or brought directly to your facility, organization, or community space. Whether exploring local ecosystems, learning about wildlife, participating in guided nature walks, or enjoying interactive educational presentations, our programs are designed to inspire curiosity, connection, and environmental awareness for participants of all ages.

Adult & Community Group Rates

Customized adult and community group programs start at:

$15–20 per participant

Minimum booking fees may apply depending on group size, location, staffing requirements, and program customization.

Additional travel fees may apply outside of Vernon.

Youth, Nonprofit & Community Youth Group Rates

Discounted rates are available for youth organizations, nonprofit groups, homeschool groups, Scouts, Guides, and community youth programs.

Bats Out of the Darkness

Discover the fascinating lives of bats in British Columbia and the important role they play in healthy ecosystems. Explore common myths, examine bat specimens up close, and learn how communities can help protect local bat populations.

Owls of B.C.

Learn about the owls that call British Columbia home and their incredible adaptations for hunting and survival. Participants will examine owl specimens, identify owl calls, and participate in an owl pellet dissection activity.

Who’s Who of Wildlife

Discover the mammals and wildlife species that inhabit the North Okanagan through hands-on exploration of skulls, furs, and wildlife artifacts.

Watershed Exploration

Using our interactive watershed model, participants learn how watersheds function, how pollution impacts waterways, and why healthy watersheds are essential for wildlife and communities.

Customized topics and multi-session series may also be available upon request.

Learn about the owls of British Columbia and their incredible adaptations for hunting and survival. This program features owl taxidermy specimens, natural artifacts, and interactive discussion.

Optional add-on: Owl pellets are available for purchase, and participants can be guided through a pellet dissection activity.

Bats Out of the Darkness

Discover the fascinating lives of bats in British Columbia and the important role they play in our ecosystems through interactive discussion and specimen exploration.

Watershed Exploration

Learn about local watersheds, water systems, and environmental stewardship through a live demonstration using our Enviroscape watershed model.
