Lead Nature Interpreter

The Lead Nature Interpreter will directly contribute to the ABNC mission through the design, development and delivery of on-site environmental educational programs for children, youth, seniors and special interest groups. This position will also act as one of the primary liaisons between visitors and ABNC, providing the community with first-hand experiences of the Okanagan and ABNC through greeting visitors, nature interpretation and delivery of programs and services at the Nature Centre.

This position is dependent on funding from Canada Summer Jobs program and is anticipated to be full time (35hrs/week) from May 6th to August 30th.

Visitor Services Coordinator

The Visitor Services Coordinator will be the first point of contact for visitors coming to Allan Brooks Nature Centre. This position will act as the primary liaison between visitors and ABNC, providing them with first-hand experiences of the Okanagan and the Nature Centre in a variety of ways; greeting visitors, nature interpretation including guided trail walks and delivery of services available at ABNC. The Visitor Services Coordinator will also be responsible for the operations of the gift shop, ABNC memberships and providing administrative support to the staff team.

This position is dependent on funding from Canada Summer Jobs program and is anticipated to be full time (30 hrs/week) from May 6th to August 30th. The work term will be confirmed after approval from Canada Summer Jobs.

Environmental Education Program Assistant

The Environmental Education Program Assistant will directly contribute to ABNCS’ mission through the design, development and delivery of on-site environmental educational programs for children, youth, seniors and special interest groups. Public Outreach and Education Event Assistant

The Public Outreach and Education Event Assistant will act as the primary liaison between visitors and ABNC, providing the community with first-hand experiences of the Okanagan and Allan Brooks through greeting visitors, nature interpretation and delivery of programs, such as school groups and Nature Trailer outreach, summer day camps and public events at the Nature Centre as well as within the community.
