Learn about xeriscape gardening from Sigrie Kendrick, Executive Director of the Okanagan Xeriscape Association. Xeriscaping is gardening with the natural conditions that you live in, rather than fighting against them. This class will teach you principles of design and planning, soil improvement, practical turf areas, efficient irrigation, appropriate plant selection and much more! By adopting xeriscape techniques you can create a beautiful, sustainable landscape, eliminate chemical use, conserving water and creating habitat for birds and butterflies.
The class will be 1.5 hours long with 30 minutes at the end for Q&A. BYOQ- bring your own questions! The more specific the better, this is your opportunity to get insight into your own garden plans.
