Little Sprouts & Big Changes – July 28 – 31

July 28 @ 9:00 am - July 31 @ 12:00 pm PDT

- $15.00 – $160.00

Get your children outdoors this summer and book them in a Growing Up Wild Summer Camp. Our nature camps are hands-on, fun-filled learning at Allan Brooks Nature Centre! Children will learn about our local ecosystems and wildlife through outdoor lessons, play, crafts, games, and activities!

Our Growing Up Wild Camp is a day camp for children ages 4 – 5. These are half-day camps that run for 4 days from 9 am – 12 pm, Tuesday – Friday.

Growing Up Wild Theme: Little Sprouts & Big Changes
From seeds to pollinators, this camp is all about how plants grow and change. Campers plant seeds, hunt for “invasive” seeds, and go on a pollinator safari. Expect mud-and-water play, hands-on experiments, and a mini show-and-tell to celebrate what we discovered.

Day 1: Seeds and starts

Indoor: Introductions, Rules, Ice Breaker/Seated Name Game. Invasive plant seed collage

Outdoor: Invasive plant hunt and seed planting

Day 2: Pollinators

Outdoor: Pollinator safari and pollination game

Indoor: Make pollinator crowns or wings

Day 3: Water and mud

Outdoor: Puddle-to-dry comparisons, mud kitchen style play

Indoor: “Where does water go?” demonstration

Day 4: Growth party

Outdoor: Check planted seeds, “growth games”

Indoor: Mini show-and-tell and take-home craft
