Know Your Farmer, Explore the BX

For the third year running our Programs and Community Engagement Coordinator – David Lilly will be looking forward to seeing you at our booth at the sncacmatqtn Agricultural Park for this event.

This year each farm has a special something featuring the Allan Brooks Nature Centre to keep it fresh and fun – visit us and the farms from 10am to 4pm to explore the farm stands, engage in self-guided or organised tours, and participate in on-farm events! It will be a fun day for the whole family to enjoy.

You’re invited to “Know Your Farmer, Explore the BX” — to connect with local food, to better know your farmers and how they are farming, and to explore all the BX has to offer. The BX is a rich agricultural region with lots of walking and hiking trails and is the perfect place to get out and explore your own backyard.

The BX Farm Tour is hosted by the farmers of the BX, with support from the North Okanagan Land to Table Network Society, RDNO, Butcher Boys, Tourism Vernon, Vernon Museum and other local partners.

You can drive or bike the route, take an afternoon or the weekend. The BX Farm Tour is yours to explore, your way, but do come along and say hello to us.
