Meet Eli Pivnick, newly appointed President of the Board of the Bishop Wild Bird Sanctuary.
The Bishop Wild Bird Sanctuary is a biodiversity-rich 1.7 ha (4.2 acre) property on the lakeshore of Kalamalka Lake. The site was bequeathed to the Bishop Wild Bird Foundation by Lydia Bishop in 1980 for the benefit of wild birds and other wildlife, and for the quiet enjoyment and nature education of the public.
As the person spear-heading the foundation, Eli will be telling us about the history and natural assets of the sanctuary, it’s current facilities and hint at the new programming to come after the major renewal work of the sanctuary has been revealed.
If ornithology is your ‘thing’ or you’re just an amateur ‘birder’ don’t miss what Eli has to say during this our last Summer Nature Talk.
