Youth Climate Corps BC is a provincial program placing young people in paid, meaningful work at the intersection of climate action and community. From habitat restoration to active transportation initiatives, the Vernon cohort works alongside local partners to build hands-on conservation capacity in the North Okanagan. Our projects touch ecology, cultural stewardship, and the practical question of what it means to care for this place: a community-led answer, built from the ground up, on unceded Syilx Okanagan territory where ecological stewardship and cultural reconciliation are inseparable. In this talk, we’ll share project highlights from June and how you can get involved in July and August.
